2020年9月に発生した台風10号で、沖縄エリア、九州エリアを中心に大きな被害が出ました。そこで、日本の災害支援を行ってるNPOへ寄付をするためにこのキャンペーンを立ち上げました。 現在、私たちが住んでいる日本も含めて、世界中でボランティアや支援を必要としている人たちがいます。このような難しい局面である時こそ、私達のConscious Culture (自己理解、他者への理解、自分が他者(チーム、お客様、より大きなコミュニティー）にもたらす影響に常に目を向け理解し、意図的に行動することにより最高の体験を生み出す）を体現し、サポートを必要としている人たちを支援していきましょう。 In September 2020, typhoon (Haishen) hit the Okinawa and Kyushu areas and caused extensive damage to the region. Therefore, we have launched this campaign to raise money for NPOs that are working on disaster relief in Japan. There are people all over the world, including in Japan where we live, who are in need of volunteers and support. In these difficult times, we need support in embodying our Conscious Culture (self-awareness, understanding of others, creating the best possible experience by always looking and understanding the impact we have on others (our team, our customers and the larger community) and acting intentionally. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, our Latino POD wants to benefit the broader Latino community by supporting nonprofits that seek to improve the lives of Latinos through health, education and technology. 1. Chicana Latina Foundation empowers Chicanas Latinas through personal, educational, and professional advancement. 2. AltaMed Foundation, 'La Linterna’ program provides primary care and trauma-focused mental health resources to kids separated from their families at the border. The team is seeking to double the number of kids they serve. 3. Latinas in Tech supports Latinas internationally to thrive, innovate and lead in tech as well as those pursuing a career in tech. 4. Hispanic Scholarship Fund gives scholarships to Latino college student and is also the nation’s largest non-profit organization supporting Latinos pursuing higher education. HSF helped at least two of our VMware employees pay for college. We at VMware have an awesome community of change makers. Let’s come together as a VMware family to make change and support the Latino community. Colorado Ballet’s 60th Anniversary season was originally scheduled to open October 9, 2020 with eight performances of Giselle and continue in November and December with 26 performances of The Nutcracker. Ticketing revenue from these two productions was projected to be between $3.5 and $4M. All of these performances were cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Artists have been furloughed and their 2021 Spring season is at risk. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Colorado Ballet will depend on fundraising as its primary source of income for the remainder of 2020. In light of this extreme need, Colorado Ballet announces the launch of its Relief and Recovery Fund. With a fundraising goal of $3 million, this fund will help to cover a significant portion of the loss of ticketed revenue, helping Colorado Ballet to retain its world-class dancers and staff and emerge from this crisis as the strong company it has become over the past 60 years.

Remove the stigma around mental health in the business world. Without proper management or treatment, millennials could see a 40% uptick in mortality compared with Gen Xers of the same age, recent reports have found. We live in a world of ethical and moral debt, and new generations are inheriting that debt at a cost. This fund aims to support these groups facing certain hopelessness.

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency as wildfires spread across California. According to Cal Fire, more than 1.4 million acres have burned, 200,000 people been under evacuation orders at various times, 2,500 structures have been destroyed and millions are breathing smoky air. Wildfires, while a natural occurrence, have become more frequent and intense in recent years, thriving on high heat, low humidity and strong winds caused by climate change. In addition, California continues to be a hot spot for COVID-19 cases, further complicating evacuation and relief efforts. Changing the way our world is powered by harnessing the benefits of solar is a huge step toward mitigating the negative impact of global warming. But, as a community, we can do more. And our help is needed now. SunPower Foundation has established the 2020 $50K Solar Community Challenge to support California communities impacted by these fires. This Fund includes vetted nonprofits providing emergency response in the region. Through a single donation, dealers can support multiple organizations that provide both provide short-term relief and long-term recovery.

Uma's father passed away recently. In lieu of flowers or cards, and in honor of Uma's passion for supporting the Alzheimer's Association, we have created this fund.

As of 2020, over 15,000 children in Georgia are placed in foster care, not including hundreds of thousands of children being raised by thousands of grandparents, relatives, or fictive kin. We aim to support these children by providing vital, basic needs, but we cannot achieve our goals alone.

The VMW team is creating cards in partnership with Cardz for Kidz. Cardz for Kidz! is dedicated to uplifting spirits across the globe by delivering inspiring handmade cards. They started donating homemade cards to kids in one hospital in one city; they have now expanded their impact to sending handmade cards to disheartened children and solemn seniors around the world. They currently have partnerships in all 50 states (plus Washington, DC), and at least one hospital or home on every continent.

The Rising American Electorate—young people, people of color and unmarried women—face unique challenges when it comes to their work, health and future. As of 2020, they're 150 million people strong, making up 64% of the people who can vote in America. They also make up a significant population of unregistered voters (73%). The Voter Participation Center is working to change that.

This initiative tries to help alleviate the impact brought about by this pandemic to the most vulnerable in our society. Indeed, the pandemic has been especially virulent to the elderly, exacerbated unemployment, and left the homeless at risk. Madrid continues to be one of the European cities most affected by this pandemic. This is a great opportunity to help ease the hardship faced by these people in our community in these difficult times.

Hurricane Laura, classified as a Category 4 Hurricane, made landfall in Louisiana in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 27. With wind speeds of up to 150 mph, the storm has already resulted in widespread damage to the region, as well as dangerous flash floods, power outages, and the potential for tornadoes in the surrounding states. The last time there was a storm of this magnitude was more than 100 years ago. Simultaneously, COVID-19 cases continue to be on the rise in Texas and Louisiana. Bright Funds has established The 2020 Hurricane Laura Disaster Relief & Recovery Fund to support the communities impacted by the storm. This Fund includes pre-vetted nonprofits providing emergency response in the region. Through a single donation to the Fund, you can support multiple organizations' initiatives to provide short-term and long-term response and recovery. We have initially selected organizations that are working to provide immediate relief; the composition of the nonprofits in this Fund are subject to change as we learn more about the needs on the ground.

Teach For America (TFA) is a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to "enlist, develop, and mobilize as many as possible of our nation's most promising future leaders to grow and strengthen the movement for educational equity and excellence." The organization aims to accomplish this by recruiting and selecting college graduates from top universities around the United States to serve as teachers. The selected members, known as "corps members," commit to teaching for at least two years in a public or public charter K–12 school in one of the 52 low-income communities that the organization serves.

Refugees who flee growing violence, terror and corruption in Iran and Middle East are facing enormous risks everyday while focused on survival, dream of a future life with liberty, justice and opportunity to rebuild their lives. There is a growing need for programs that understands their difficult circumstances, empowers them with critical humanitarian needs, and uplifting mindset.

Special Operations Warrior Foundation

In the first week of July, 2020, the Western Ghats of Kerala started experiencing heavy rain falls and is in the verge of facing yet another disaster. Kerala has already faced huge disaster in 2018, 2019 during the same period almost in the same epicenters, in the same Districts – Idukki, Wayanad, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode. The affected population are the historically marginalized and excluded communities – Dalits, Adivasis, Fishing Communities and migrant plantation labourers. RIGHTS is a community-funded NGO working in Kerala for the rights and betterment of vulnerable communities. In recent past, it has been active in the areas of rural employment, skills development, rural infrastructure, COVID-19 relief and education. The floods in Kerala come at a time when these communities are already reeling under the economic and health impacts of COVID-19. Around 25,000 people, of which a quarter are children, have been displaced and rendered homeless by this natural disaster. According to a CNN news report, 43 fatalities have been reported as a direct result of these floods. Those who have survived the immediate effect of landslide and floods are in imminent danger of water-borne diseases that accompany an inundation of this scale. The treacherous hilly terrain of Kerala makes flood relief a very challenging task for the government. Therefore the role of local grassroots organizations like RIGHTS, who’re intimately familiar with the local situation and connected with local communities, is critical in providing useful relief. - RIGHTS Founder Ajay Kumar has forumlated an immediate intervention plan to provide relief to those affected: - Supply of dry ration and NFI (Non Food Item) kits. - Monitoring and safeguarding children and the vulerable population in the rehabilitation process. - Provision of educational material for children so their education is not interrupted. This includes devices for online instruction. - Direct cash transfer to supplement loss of livelihoods. - COVID-19 health monitoring and provision of protective equipment: masks, cleaning supplies to the displaced being housed in temporary relief camps. Hindus for Human Rights is appealing to everyone in the extended Indian community world-wide to aid the relief work done by our partner, RIGHTS, and make a substantial difference in the lives of those in Kerala who have been uprooted by this calamity.
